MAPP/HEC

MAPP/HEC education, outreach, and assistance is available to individuals through Riverfront’s benefits counseling program, and the expertise of our benefits specialists guides individuals through the process. MAPP (Medicaid Purchase Plan) allows persons with disabilities who are employed or enrolled in HEC (Health and Employment Counseling) to purchase Medicaid coverage by paying a monthly premium based upon income. The plan allows people with disabilities who currently work or want to work an opportunity to earn more income while still maintaining their health or long term care coverage.

HEC is a nine-month program which allows people with disabilities who are not currently employed to obtain Medicaid coverage through MAPP while they plan for employment. Our benefits specialists assist HEC enrollees to develop an employment plan that details their employment goals and how they plan to achieve those goals within a nine-month time frame.
