1.05.1.01 Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Policy

PURPOSE
To affirm Riverfront Inc.'s commitment to act affirmatively in areas of employment, advancement and service.

IMPLEMENTATION
It is the policy of Riverfront Inc. not to discriminate against any employee or any applicant for employment because of age, race, religion, color, disability, sex, physical condition, developmental disability, sexual orientation, national origin, arrest or conviction record, military participation or marital status or pregnancy, political belief or affiliation, or use or non-use of tobacco products off the employers premises during work hours. This policy includes, but is not limited to: initial recruitment and employment, promotion, demotion, transfer, compensation, layoff, termination, recalls, and selection for training including apprenticeship. This company further agrees to take affirmative action to eliminate under utilization and ensure equal employment opportunities.

The President/CEO, shall have overall responsibility for Riverfront's Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Policy. The Human Resource Director, has been appointed equal employment opportunity coordinator and is responsible for planning and implementing our affirmative action program as well as for its day-to-day monitoring of affirmative action related decisions and activities. Employers are encouraged to discuss any perceived discrimination problems in employment or service delivery with the Human Resource Director. He/she may be contacted during regular business hours Monday-Friday at (608) 784-9450. All personnel, who are responsible for hiring, supervising and promoting employees are charged to support this program. They shall provide leadership in implementing affirmative action goals and initiatives. All employees are expected to support goals and programmatic activities relating to nondiscrimination in employment.
