Make a donation and support the people served
At sunrise on September 1st, I am headed to the west coast. I will start in the Pacific Ocean and cycle (as in bicycle) for 30 days working my way back to La Crosse. I will be back home on September 30th come hell or high water.
Why am I doing this? (Besides for the fun of it). Well, my wife, Dawn, and I have been actively involved in supporting Riverfront, a terrific non-profit organization, for the last 15 years. Riverfront provides support for people with disabilities in Wisconsin. I have and am presently serving as a Board of Director for the Riverfront Foundation. As an “insider”, I know of the funding challenges individuals with disabilities and their families face in getting important services. I also know of the financial struggles this non-profit faces as it strives to provide the very best individualized programming to help individuals achieve their employment, independence and community engagement goals. My cross country bike ride is dedicated to raising funds for the causes of Riverfront. I have set a personal goal to raise $60,000 to help replace special purpose transportation vehicles utilized by Riverfront.
Would you make a donation today? Riverfront Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization, so gifts are fully tax deductible.
May the wind be at your back,
