Riverfront Recreation Programs feature fun and friends
Find your favorite activities at Riverfront!
Life’s never dull at Riverfront! With our recreation programs you can explore your interests, have fun, make new friends and gain confidence.
Whether you want something to do at the end of the day, on the weekend or even during vacation, we’ve got something for you. And if you don’t see it here, just ask! We build our services around your interests.
Recreation Program costs and availability
We keep our costs as low as possible. The cost to participate in a Recreation Program depends on the specific activity. A weeknight activity might cost a couple dollars, while an all-inclusive vacation trip would cost more. All Riverfront activities are open to everyone, so you are welcome to invite a friend or family member to come along.
Weekend activities give you the chance to explore a bit further. The annual trips to Lambeau Field and Miller Park fill up quickly!
It can be complicated to organize a trip, so let us do it for you! Your trip payment is all inclusive—it covers transportation, lodging and staff support. The only spending money you’ll need is for souvenirs.
We take trips all around the country, from New York City to Orlando to Branson.
If you are interested in a trip but not located in the immediate La Crosse area, we will help arrange transportation for you to join the group. To learn more, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Who can travel with Riverfront?
It is not necessary that travelers receive Riverfront services in order to travel. Travelers are at least 14 years of age and typically have a developmental and/or physical disability. Riverfront staff accompany our travelers at about a 1:5 staff to traveler ratio. For this ratio to work, a traveler must have appropriate social skills and no major medical or personal care support needs. If a traveler does not fit this criteria, Riverfront must be informed ahead of time, in which case the traveler would need to bring his/her own attendant or request one to be provided for an additional charge. Most travelers using wheelchairs or who are not able to walk independently are required to provide their own attendant, who is able to travel at a reduced cost.
How do I sign up to travel with Riverfront?
Trips are filled on a first come, first served basis. To sign up for a trip contact Riverfront’s Recreation
Department at 608.785.3585, or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Upon signing up, a letter of confirmation and travel details will be sent.
What do trip fees include?
Trip fees include all transportation, lodging, meals, admissions, and support staff. Additional money is only needed for extra spending such as souvenirs and/or snacks. Spending money can be monitored by Riverfront staff upon request. Payments can be made in full at any time. Full payment is required a minimum of four weeks prior to the trip. For trips costing over $500, an additional down payment is required.
