What is Representative Payee?
Commonly called Rep Payee, Representative Payee Services support individuals who need help managing their Social Security benefits. If you or someone you care for needs help managing Social Security benefits, Riverfront’s personalized Rep Payee Services can help.
How Representative Payee works
If you qualify for Rep Payee Services, your first step is a phone or in-person meeting with Riverfront staff to determine if Riverfront’s program is right for you. If so, our staff will help you complete the application with the Social Security Administration (SSA). Once approved as your rep payee, we provide you with these services:
- Set up an account for you
- Review your bills and expenses
- Work with you to establish a budget
- Document your SSI/SSDI deposits
- Pay your bills
- Provide your budgeted spending money
- Track all your account activity
- Provide monthly statement when requested
- Submit annual accounting to SSA
